Our New Chief Executive Announced

Addysg Oedolion Cymru | Adult Learning Wales has announced the appointment of Kathryn Robson as its new Chief Executive.


Of the appointment, the organisation’s Chair of Council, John Graystone said, “The rigorous recruitment process saw high-quality, high-calibre applications from outside the organisation and Kathryn’s appointment demonstrates her depth of talent and the vision she has for Addysg Oedolion Cymru | Adult Learning Wales now and into the future.“

Kathryn Robson previously held an Acting Chief Executive role with Addysg Oedolion Cymru | Adult Learning Wales, and is now well-placed to progress the strategic foundations laid down during that period.

Of her appointment, Kathryn Robson said, "I am delighted to have been appointed to the post of Chief Executive at Addysg Oedolion Cymru | Adult Learning Wales. I feel truly privileged to be in a position to build upon the excellent work of our legacy organisations in meeting the needs of many thousands of adult learners every year."

Kathryn Robson has extensive experience in Human Resources management having previously been Director of Human Resources and Learner Services at Pembrokeshire College, and Human Resources Manager at Aberystwyth University. She is a Chartered Member of the CIPD (Chartered MCIPD), Human Resources Management and Services, and was a member of the Wales Negotiations Committee, Further Education, from 2009 to 2016, when committee work included the implementation of the national contract for the Welsh Further Education Sector. She also chaired the Colegau Cymru HR Network from 2009 to 2013.


The Chief Executive post now commences with immediate effect.
