From WEA YMCA CC Cymru support comes. . . the Swancomm Film Festival

17-June-2016

On Saturday 9th July from 10:00 until 16:30, the first SwanComm film festival will take place run entirely by local groups of amateur film makers - including those who learned on film-making and event planning courses supported by WEA YMCA CC Cymru.

Since August 2015, over 100 Communities First residents have signed up to participate in accredited film workshops with local filmmaker David Marchant, to enable them to make 11 short films. SwanComm is designed and delivered by the participants of these workshops, produced in partnership with LOCWS International, Communities First (CCS), and WEA YMCA CC CYMRU, via the SCLP.

The festival provides a platform for mostly first-time film-makers to share what they have produced, and it also aims to increase the 'feel good' factor of our local community by providing a free and enjoyable event.

If you're in Swansea, why not go along and watch the fruits of our learners' labour? It's shaping up to be a real spectacle!
